Our screening of the film,
"Gasland" was very well attended. This is a real
threat to our area, and to others in many locations in
New York State.Check our Conservation page for more information on hydrofracking. For those who missed it, here's a link to the "Gasland" website. Our members
have placed nextboxes for bluebirds in several
locations. Volunteers
are needed to monitor them and report on breeding
activity. Training will be provided!
This is your chance to help New York's state bird
- the Eastern Bluebird. Please contact us by
email, or call Pat Fitzgerald at 518-792-6846.
The
boxes were constructed for us by Pat Boire's tech
class in Bolton Landing. Read more about it
here. Audubon is
always at work on national, state, and local
levels. Updates
are available on some important issues, and
can be found on the Conservation
page. Keep
